Fátima & Centre of Portugal

When we arrive in Fatima, we will be enveloped by an atmosphere of recollection and mystery. Our driver/guide will welcome us and drive us to our accommodation, where we will check-in. This will be our starting point to explore this spiritual enclave that has attracted millions of pilgrims.

The morning will take us to the Shrine of Fatima, a sacred space where history and devotion are intertwined. We will feel the solemn silence of the esplanade, where candles burn incessantly and pilgrims advance with unwavering faith. We will walk through the Chapel of the Apparitions, the epicenter of the story of the three shepherd children, and we will let the grandeur of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary envelop us with its radiant whiteness (90 min).

Later, we will explore the Valinhos, the peaceful landscape where some of the apparitions took place. Between fields of olive trees and holm oaks, time seems to have stopped, and the breeze caresses the hills with a softness that invites contemplation (45 min).

In the afternoon, we will take the road to Nazaré, where the Atlantic will welcome us with its wild immensity (45 min drive).

We will arrive at our accommodation in Nazaré, located in a privileged environment overlooking the ocean. The sea air will envelop us as we settle in and enjoy a break before dinner.

We will have dinner at the accommodation, letting ourselves be carried away by the flavors of the sea and the serenity of the night.

The morning will wake us up with the Atlantic symphony crashing against the cliffs. We will enjoy breakfast at our accommodation, delighting ourselves with fresh products while the sea breeze surrounds us.

We will explore the Site of Nazaré, a viewpoint from which the view unfolds to infinity. From here, we will contemplate the legendary Praia do Norte, where the waves challenge the most intrepid surfers. We will feel the energy of the ocean, powerful and majestic, and visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, where the story of a miracle will transport us to other times (90 min).

We will have lunch at a local restaurant (direct payment), where we can taste the marine delicacies that have made this fishing village famous (90 min).

In the afternoon, we will head to Óbidos, the medieval jewel of Portugal, where every cobbled street looks like something out of a fairy tale (45 min drive).

We will tour its walled enclosure, exploring the Castle of Óbidos, with its imposing towers and its air of an unbreakable fortress. We will get lost in its old town, where bougainvillea climbs up the whitewashed houses and the alleys invite us to dream of times gone by (120 min).

After a sunset that will bathe the walls of Óbidos in golden tones, we will go to our accommodation, where we will check-in and prepare for dinner.

Dinner at the accommodation will give us a restful night in an environment that will make us feel part of history.

Our last day will begin with a breakfast that will allow us to savour the essence of Óbidos before saying goodbye to this medieval enclave.

We will head to Coimbra, the university city par excellence, where knowledge has flourished for centuries (90 min drive).

Our first stop will be the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest in Europe. We will walk through its courtyard of honor, we will feel the weight of history on its walls and, if time permits, we will be able to admire the majestic Joanina Library, where the aroma of old books will transport us to other centuries (120 min).

We will have lunch in a local restaurant (direct payment), where the gastronomy of Coimbrense will surprise us with its authentic and evocative character (90 min).

In the afternoon, we will walk along the banks of the Mondego River, letting ourselves be enveloped by the serenity of the water and the murmur of the city. We will enjoy a walk through the Botanical Garden, a haven of peace that will offer us a perfect farewell to this trip (90 min).

When the sun begins to descend, we will take the way back to our starting point, taking with us the echoes of this unforgettable journey (variable duration depending on the final destination).
