Conquer Kilimanjaro: An Unforgettable Adventure at the Top of Africa

Airport pickup from Kilimanjaro (JRO) and private car transfer to Moshi. Accommodation at CHANYA LODGE or similar (bed and breakfast)

After breakfast, the guide will take us to the entrance of the Kilimanjaro National Park in Machame Gate. On the way, we will see the town of Machame and spectacular landscapes. We will start the hike through a thick tropical forest towards the camp, walking about 3 - 4 hours (10 km). Accommodation in tent with full service.

 We will ascend leaving behind the vegetation, crossing the rocky valley. We will see the western gap of Kibo and the plateau of Shira. We will walk for 3 - 4 hours and, if you wish, you can make an acclimatization tour towards the base of Shira. Camping accommodation with full board.

We will ascend through a dry and rocky alpine desert landscape. We will see the lava tower "the tooth of the shark" and we will reach the 4,876 meters of altitude in "the Glacier". We will go down a beautiful path to the camp. Camping accommodation with full board.

We leave the valley Barranco and cross the valley Karanga. At Karanga camp, we will pause before continuing to Barafu Camp. The trek will take about 6 - 7 hours. Camping accommodation with full board.

Our guide will wake us up around midnight to start the challenge towards the summit, we will have a hard night climb of about 6 hours. We will reach the edge of the Crater at Stella Point (5.685 mt), from where we can enjoy the sunrise. Perfect time to make unforgettable photos and allow us a little rest, to recover energy and continue until reaching the summit, the peak of Uhuru, the roof of the African continent at 5,895 m altitude. After admiring the spectacular view, we will begin the descent to Barafu camp, then continue to Mweka camp. Camping accommodation with full board.

After breakfast we will continue our descent through tropical rainforest, to the entrance of the park, where our guide will give us the official certificate of ascension. We will say goodbye to our carriers, cook and guide. We will follow the road to the city of Arusha or airport to end the trip.
