After a wonderful night you will go down to breakfast because you have to regain strength for the day ahead. Today we set off to discover the treasures of Orce. We start by visiting the Alcazaba of the 7 Towers. Its construction began in the eleventh century, and it became an important place in the outpost of the Nasrid Kingdom, serving as a place of concentration of troops in times of war. Next, we will visit El Palacio de los Segura. It was built between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and was retouched in the eighteenth century. It is an extensive building with two floors and a solarium. The wrought iron on the exterior balconies and its interior courtyard stand out. Have an early breakfast and go out to discover La Calahorra. We start by exploring the Castle of La Calahorra. Dominating the city, the perfectly preserved Castle of La Calahorra dates back to 1509. In its basements, the dungeons where the prisoners spent the night are still preserved. Next, we will visit the Old Lime Kilns. The workers of the old Lime Kilns walked along the path that goes up to the Castle, where limestone was fired to obtain the lime used in construction or whitewash the houses. Its iconic centre divided by the Genil River, presents the charming Santa María Magdalena Parish Church and an old 400-year-old elm tree, as well as its shady square, with the murmur of water. Next, we will visit the Tranvía de la Sierra Interpretation Center. Located in the building of the Old Tram Station of Sierra Nevada, where you can discover the history of the emblematic tram and the promoter of the project, Duke San Pedro de Galatino. We will end this tour with a Hiking Route on the banks of the Genil River. It gives climatic identity to the region, with a path along its banks that connects the municipality with the capital of Granada, highlighting its biodiversity. Have an early breakfast and head out to discover Salar. We start by visiting the Church of Santa Ana. It was built in 1501 (by Hernán Pérez del Pulgar, patron saint of the same), replacing a mosque of which only its minaret was preserved and rebuilt. Next, we will visit the Roman Villa. The archaeological remains are located on the left slope of the basin of the Arroyo de Salar, in the middle of the Vega. The excavation and enhancement project continues to this day.
